Marla Marla Marla!!
The Ark Church has an outreach that blesses the community every month by doing minor repairs and such, and the JoyHouse is on their list. Marla first heard of the JoyHouse when she came with the group on one of those visits.
While working on a project at the house..... she noticed a room that seemed to cry out to her. Marla called and asked if she could please "adopt" the room and give it a sprousing up.
OMG! Single handedly she covered up the old dark paint with this beautiful warm mint green, she replaced the mini blinds with lovely drapes, and she has stripped the entire french door and topped it with a badly needed fresh coat of paint. She has made the dark and dreary tv room/nursery into a warm and cuddly inviting happy baby room.
Then out of the blue she stops by loaded with gifts for under the tree. God Bless Marla.

GOD BLESS THE EAGLE SCOUTS OF AMERICA
The JoyHouse had a huge dangerous hole that used to be a GREASE TRAP... not anymore!
They cleared all the brush and debre from behind the shed....
and even removed a fallen tree from the fence.
What a wonderful blessing these Eagle Scouts have been to the JoyHouse.
Thank you thank you! God bless

God is so AWESOME!
It is AMAZING what happens when you let go and let GOD!
The old bear claw tub is gone and the JoyHouse now has a wonderful practical safe shower!
Other than the 5 glass block windows being installed and painting the raw wood around the mirror white and a few other finishing touches, the bathroom is finished.
Isn't it beautiful?!!
Thank you to Bill Douglas -Dave Phillips -Mike Johnson -
Doug and Jeanne Mapston and all the employees of
Commercial Cabinets in Conroe!!
Everyone of you have sacrificed and blessed the JoyHouse tremendously.
Thank YOU God!

Twas NOT for NOT
Last spring Security First Baptist Church had a work day at the JoyHouse. One of the things these awesome people worked so hard on was building a GARDEN! As it turned out, the garden mix soil was too hot and all of the plants did not grow. We got plenty of black eyed peas and sweet peas , and a few tomatoes and cucumbers but that was it.
Here we are in late September and its time to plant again.
Chris and Daniel came over and mowed the property and also around the garden area. When we got out there to prepare the garden..... we discovered that, not only has the soil finally cooled down, but the seed that was planted last March is producing FRUIT!
God is so AWESOME!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND at the JoyHouse
What a wonderful weekend!
"Ark the community" returned to the JoyHouse and sproused things up once again. It is so great to feel the LOVE of the LORD through these compassionate people. God is so awesome!
We were also blessed by Big Lots who invited us to do our Snow Cone fundraiser. Security First Baptist Church was right there pitching in and being supportive as they always are! Blue bubble gum was the favorite flavor of the day as you can see by all the blue smiles!
We did not raise a lot of funds this weekend but we connected with people and handed out a lot of flyers.
We met so many different individuals today. Some were preachers, others teachers from the local schools, graphic designers offering their talents, CPS workers, young mothers and old grandmas thanking us for what we are doing.
It was so amazing to arrive back at the JoyHouse after such a long day, to find things so different and wonderful. Most of the trim has been painted and there is a new wall and cool new chalk board to write on.
Thank you!
